Yoga In The Trees Weekend

with Shauna Lay

Stay Tuned for 2020 Dates

Yoga In The Trees is an all-inclusive in-person yoga journey offering you the space to practice yoga and focus inward. We will gather in a beautiful space amongst the redwood trees at the beginning of Autumn. Autumn is a natural time for inward reflection and healing. It is a time to connect deeply with yourself and determine the things that are holding you back from living a life you truly love. A life filled with joy, fulfillment, and connection.

This journey will be held at Land Of Medicine Buddha in Soquel, CA.

I cannot wait to share this time with you.

The experience is for 25 humans.

We will meet in Soquel, CA at the beautiful Land Of Medicine Buddha. Land of Medicine Buddha is an environmentally conscious meditation and retreat center. It is located on 108 acres of coastal foothills at the edge of 10,000 acres of redwood forest preserved by the State of California. The land is peaceful and provides natural medicine that heals us. As soon as we look at the sky, breathe in the air, and plant our feet on the soil of the earth we find a sense of connection that deeply heals and brings us back to what is truly important. There will be time and space to soak up the surroundings and walk on the land.

We will begin our journey together with Yoga and we will talk about how yoga is a beautiful ancient tool for healing. This will set you up for the weekend experience.

Then we will gather for a meal.

The rest of the weekend, I will guide you through a journey of yoga, meditation, breathing, and other healing tools that will help you feel more connected to your body, to your mind, to each other and to your life.

Yoga is not just about the asanas, it’s a practice to gain more awareness of your self. To get to know yourself better and get to know the people around you. It requires a slowing down, a deeper connection inward, a vulnerability with yourself, and a willingness to open your heart.

Come and learn and be with me for the weekend.

A huge part of the experience is the food because a huge part of healing is in the healing of our bodies. We will be fed high quality nourishing foods that are in season and vegan and vegetarian.  Clean and pure foods help us to focus and find more clarity in our mind space.

Our journey together includes dinner on Thursday night, all meals on Friday and Saturday as well as breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

“Autumn is the time when the cycle that began in the spring, reaches completion. The fruit is harvested, things are cleared away, so that space can be made for a new beginning. It is important in this season to watch your balances and to give yourself time for settlement and reflection. You naturally go through a process of clearing out and it is wise not to make any important decisions.”
