This Yoga Tuesday I bring you Setu Bhanda Sarvangasana – Bridge Pose. This is a great pose if you cannot or do not practice Shoulderstand, a popular yoga inversion. It has the same chin lock so you get similar benefits but you aren’t fully upside down and there is little to no pressure one the neck. The chin lock forces the blood to situate itself in the neck region and then blood bathes the thyroid and parathyroid glands, making them healthy and happy.
It is safe for the lower and upper back as well as the neck region. It is an all-around great pose!
